Teaching practice phase 1 : Second weak
DAY 3 : 30/09/2024
As per the time table, I had a Biology class at 9C in 5th period.Today I got noon- meal duty in afternoon. At evening there was a rally to Punnakkulam junction, there was a awareness street drama and monoact based on the theme " Lahari vimuktha keralam" by giving a moral "Say no to drugs", the programme was initiated by NSS volunteers of Higher secondary section. This programme was iniated by Neyyattinkara range excise officers. We accompanied with the students in the rally.
DAY : 4 ( 1//10/2024)
Today I conducted my Sociometric work in the 9C class. Sociometry is generally used to assess the rate of interaction between students. I asked them if they got a chance to go a oneday trip to their favourite place. Which will be the three friends they selecteted to came with them. I asked them to wrote it in a piece of paper I already distributed them.All students did it well. Today I got discipline duty at morning interval time. I also served noon- meal to students during lunch time. Most of the students had practicing sections for various competitive items for upcoming youth festival event. I engaged with students to prepared them for competitions like group songs.. etc. At 3 pm, there was a "Chendamelam" competition took place at school ground. I felt glad that, many of the students took initiatives to participated in various events.
DAY 5 : (3/10/2024)
Today morning, in the first period, I got substituted in class 10 A instead of Malayalam langage teacher. I helped the students to to wrote their notes. In the second period, I took a Conscentization class in the class 8C.The topic was " Nutritional deficiencies in students". I explained what is nutritional deficiency, it's symptoms, deficiency diseases most commonly seen in children, importance of distribution of iron tablets in schools and prevention of nutritional deficiencies. Every studrnts was very attentive in the class, some of them asked doubts related with the topic. I clarified them. In the 4th and 5th period I got exam duty in 9B class.It was National Achievement Suvey (NAS) exam by State Assessment Cell, SCERT. There was a total of 30 questions. After the lunch, there was a "helping hand" programme for half an hour for slow learners and academically backward students.Today I took class for a group of students from 8th and 9th class as part of this. In the 6th period, I hada class for 9C. I taught them ventilation. In the last period, at 3 pm there was a "Sevanavaram" for students to cleaned the school premises as a part of " Gandhi jayanthi" celebrations.
DAY : 6 ( 4/10/2024)
It was a rainy day. Today was the "Youth Festival Day" of the school.The programme was started at morning 9.30 am and it was inagurated by Smt.V.R.Salooja. Block Panchayth President, Parassala. Along with this, UP IT lab inaguration was also took place in the stage. The students from UP, HS,HSS made the event colourful by added performances.Various competitive events; group dance, tabala,Oppana, Nadan pattu, Light music,skit etc were conducted. We helped the students who participated in group events for their make up and preparations. In afternoon session, we got a duty to wrote certificates for winners of different competitions. Today, we could find out the hidden talents of many students.Overall, it was an enjoyable day.
