Teaching Practice phase1: 5th weak
DAY : 16 (21/10/2024)
Today was the observation day for us. Psychology Ma'am came to osberserved our classes.I took a class in 9C, the topic taught was anaerobic respiration. I entered the topic through a video of food spoilage by microorganisms. Chart and ICT were used as teaching aids.Activity cards were given to the students, they done it properly. Review questions and follw up activity were given. After the observation, teacher gave a suggestion that, always be pleasant in class, take care of high pitch of sound through out the entire class, she mentioned that developing of leson using the video was good. I also got a class in 8C class, a new chapter named "why classification" was started here.I also corrected some students biology note books today. In the afternoon, I got the duty to monitored the group dance team and thiruvathira team, practised as a part of School kalolsavam.
DAY:17 (22/10/2024)
Today, in the first period I got sbstitution in 9C class, as their class teacher was absent today. I was assigned by a teacher to delivered them Hindi note, I done it. In the 2nd period, again I got a class in 9C. In this period, I taught them Biology - respiration in plants. Many students asked very interesting doubts about plant respiration, I clarified them all. I have done noon meal duty today.In the afternoon, we were assigned to monitored students in dance practice.After the school time, there was a Anti drug pledge by SPC ( Student Police Cadets) students in the presence of police officers.
DAY : 18 ( 23/10/2024)
Today I got 4th period in 8C class. It was a substitution class. I revised the portion I taught them in the previous class today. Definition of taxonomy,taxonomic
keys, dichotomous keys were discussed. I distributed activity cards to them, they done it properly. In the afternoon, monitored the dance practicing students for sub district school kalolsavam.
DAY : 19 ( 24/10/2024)
Today was the observation day for me. My optional teacher, Mrs.Jayasree Ma'am came to observed my class. I took class for students in 9C, taught them the topic : human respiratory system and its parts and functions. I used chart, working model, ICT and black board as teaching aids. I also included a video of funtioning of respiratory system and played in the class. I provided two activity cards to them by dividing them into groups.All of them did it properly. After the observation, teacher said, it was a good class, good lesson template, good teaching aids, audible voice etc. Teacher made a suggestion that, at the time of describing a part, a comparative example can be used. I felt happy after the class, because I could managed time and class well.Students also attended the class well. In the 5th period, I accomponied with another teacher trainee for conducting diagnostic test in 8 B class. In the last period, I had a class in 8C, here I taught them, Scientists who had made contribitions in taxonomical field.
DAY : 20 (25/10/2024)
Today was a very heavy rainy morning. I got 5th period in 9C, they had their IT practicals then, it was conducted in 2 steps. Half students were went to the exam, I asked the remaining students to study for their practical. In the 7th period, I went to 8C class, and delivered the notes which I taught them in the previous class.
